So, it’s one of those days I just can’t sleep, been keeping to daytime sleeping ready for work which I was supposed to start 2 weeks ago, of course upon calling again today they do not have hours for me, this is rather frustrating being I was promised the hours I requested on the times I requested, was told there was plenty of hours at the times I required.
Now after doing all training got all paperwork, ID badge, paid for uniform, new shoes and DBS, to be waiting to actually start work.
The DBS also arrived too late to actually be able to pay the small £13 fee to make it transferrable, thus meaning if I leave, I might have to pay for a new DBS if I seek alternative employment being unable to make this transferrable.
I am at a point where I do not know if it would be best to seek alternative employment or to just stick this out a little longer as there is meant to be plenty of shifts in may, though I have not been offered anything as of yet which is suitable, mostly shifts that are a little out the way.
The joys of being told one thing then getting another, now a sales setting would make more sense, but for a job, not so much when they take you on not as if/when position, they take you on for a set amount of hours each week as they need the staff and suddenly you aren’t required after paying out for things, maybe they did this to many just to make a little extra cash, who knows.
So, do I see out other employment or wait it out a little longer, who’s to say I don’t get a job offer then suddently they start throwing work at me, who’s to say I don’t get a call in a couple days with plenty of work, I just don’t know what would be best right now, getting fed up of it all and not being able to pay bills.
